What parents and professional say about Isaac's work with parents,
children and child care staff:
Parents comments:
"Keir had been biting, hitting, hair-pulling,
kicking, pinching, scratching and knocking over other children
(even larger ones). Some of this aggressive behavior seemed related
to stress from numerous medical procedures he had undergone (from
birth to the present). By using particular play methods and thoughtfully
interrupting inappropriate behavior, Isaac was able to effect
dramatic changes in Keir in less than two months. He became relaxed,
playful and focused. The biting, etc. stopped totally in the school
setting after about two to three months. This generalized to home
and other settings. Isaac worked with us so we could be consistent
with his methods."
-Dr. and Mrs. David Zangrando, Cincinnati, OH.
Parent Mentoring Participant's Comment:
"Through the (consultations and parent)
mentoring we are learning to become less reactive to our children's
behavior and to listen and understand what their real needs are.
The goal is to raise our daughters to be well balanced and centered
individuals who know how to deal with the stresses of life in
a healthy and productive manner."
-Paul Cowan, Parent, South Slocan, BC, Canada
Workshop Participant's Comment:
"The thought that kept going through
my mind as I listened to Isaac and learned about his work was:
Every parent, caregiver, teacher, and anyone who is interested
in a kinder, less stressful world should be here! I was moved
by Isaac's compassion for and understanding of children and their
behaviours, and I was impressed and inspired by the manner in
which he presented his knowledge and methods. I can honestly say
that my perspective on children's behaviours has been altered
dramatically. The past few weeks have been amazing. My stress
level at work has decreased significantly, and I am finding that
the children are recovering from their upsets more quickly and
thoroughly. I feel that my new perspective on children's behaviours
has brought me and my day care kids (including five boys) closer
than ever."
